field furnace refractories are suppliers of refractory products for industrial, commercial and domestic purposes. Established in 1979, we have over 30 years of experience in the industry. We are proud members of the Institute of Refractory Engineers and the Australasian Ceramic Society.
2012215What I discovered was: the pumice bricks are better, the fire is hotter, just performs better. I think a lot of the stove's heat comes off the top plate. I thought because of the insulating nature of the pumice brick, a lot of the produced heat will be reflected away from radiating into the firebox.
I pull out the ash drawer which is far below my floor grid. The top of my fire box has another protective welded panel and then two more walls. Hot air blows all around the second wall and out into duct work which is far above the furnace. I really see the need for the fire brick on the sides and back.
This particular stove has the older 2" standard fire brick going up halfway on each of the sides, but nothing on either the front or back. The back is burned through and needs to be torched clean and the hole welded shut, with probably a backup plate welded over that. There also is a 3/8" diameter hole about 3" above the door, centrally located.
For very large tank furnaces (ie Libbey glass) very large banks of fire brick are built, two sets, so the intake air is pushed through one set and the exhaust through the other. Periodically, the flow is reversed and the heat built up in the stack of exhaust bricks is used to preheat the intake air.
They are used in many furnaces with controlled atmospheres. Accurate Dimensions. Because BNZ Insulating Fire Brick are machined to precise dimensions, courses can be laid quickly and easily, and the result is a stronger, tighter refractory lining resulting in less heat loss through the joints.
Use of light weight fire brick insulation is broad, mainly in industrial and hobby kilns heated up with either electric spiral elements or gas burners, furnaces, both for hot face lining or outer back-up heat insulation. IMPORTANT: Do not confuse lightweight insulating fire bricks with heavy dense firebricks.
Insulating Fire Brick for Sale in Rongsheng is a kind of quality thermal insulation materials for application in all kinds of kilns and furnace. Insulating Fire Brick has various excellent performance of light weight, good thermal shock resistance, high temperature resistance, heat energy saving, low thermal conductivity and so on.
2014124Start with new bricks and get yourself a tub or tube of furnace cement. I repaired many bricks with furnace cement in the middle of winter with out as much as a hick-up, kept the fire going in a box stove and even replaced a door gasket with a cooking sheet hanging over the door opening.

Alibaba.com offers 221 round fire bricks products. About 61% of these are refractory, 1% are ceramics, and 1% are bricks. A wide variety of round fire bricks options are available to you, such as alumina block, alumina cement, and castable.
20081012I cut some fire bricks with a wet saw a while back. Like a hot knife through butter. As far as cracks go, I replaced my brick after my first season and they all cracked fairly quickly. I talked to a regional sales rep for Harman and he suggested just using furnace cement to fix them. That's what I did this year.
Fire brick is an idea refractory material that is mainly used as lining of kilns and furnace, such in blast furnace, hot blast stove, cement rotary kiln. Fire Brick Company Rongsheng is a professional Fire Brick Company in China, as the leading refractory manufacturing factory, which has export all kinds of fire bricks to Japanese, Indonesia
Materials for the furnace body:-1 x coffee can (or a container roughly that size) 1 x K26 fire brick Some Kaowool Some Kaowool hardener, (or a something to seal the Kaowool) 4 x 1/4" coach bolts 8 x matching nuts To power the furnace you will need a Bernzomatic hose torch, this is the most expensive part, but can be used for other jobs, so if
